We are looking for a dynamic Assistant Shop Manager to join our friendly retail team. Working in collaboration with the Shop Manager, this position will suit someone who is a retail expert, who has proven experience of creating a brilliant shopping environment and providing an excellent customer experience. You will have experience of running a well-presented shop and with an eye for detail, will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and flair whilst helping to maximise the sales and profits.

In conjunction with the Shop Manager, as well as processing donations, engaging with the community, and delivering the highest standard of customer service, you will be involved in the recruitment and management of our superstar volunteers. You will need to be able to work unsupervised in a methodical and organised manner and be flexible to the needs of the charity, covering holiday and sickness absences. The ability to plan, organise and communicate effectively, apply sound judgement and be able to work under pressure are key skills requirements of the role. Excellent people management skills and awareness of Health & Safety compliance are essential.

As a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic, working in a busy, active, and fulfilling environment, you’ll be a part of a vibrant team of individuals dedicated to making a difference to the children and families we support. This vacancy is for 15 hours (2 days) per week. Hours will be based on a rota, covering shop opening hours (Monday – Saturday).

When a family finds out that their child has a very serious medical condition, which is life-limiting or life-threatening, their world falls apart.
