Overview: This is a voluntary role with no salary. Based in Devizes, at the New Park Street shop operated by Julia’s House, the Dorset and Wiltshire Children’s Hospice. Closing Date: Ongoing.
After the success of our first charity shop in Devizes, Julia’s House is opening a brand new second shop in Devizes this February, 2026. We’re looking for friendly, caring volunteers to join our amazing team and help make a real difference to local children and families.
Our shops simply couldn’t run without the incredible support of volunteers like you. Whether you love meeting people or prefer working behind the scenes, there’s a role to suit everyone.
What you’ll do:
- Sort Room Support – Help us sort through generous donations, steam and tag items, and get them ready to shine on the shop floor.
- Cash Desk Superstar – Be the friendly face of Julia’s House! Serve customers, share updates about our work, and make every visitor feel welcome.
When you can help:
We’re looking for support Monday to Saturday, with flexible shifts to suit you:
- Morning: 9:00am – 1:00pm
- Afternoon: 1:00pm – 5:00pm
Even a few hours each week makes a huge difference – and we’ll always try to fit around your availability, so please discuss what is suitable for you.
