The predicted salary is between 31180 - 31180 € per year.
Provide a high standard of holistic care (physical, emotional, social and spiritual), play and professional friendship to the child and their immediate and extended family, and to provide continuity of care by working both in the community and the Julias House Hospice as appropriate.
Be involved in the planning and running of activity sessions, including the development and maintenance of activity packs, both in the Hospice and the Community. Develop, monitor and maintain individualised programmes of activities in direct relation to the child/young person's specific requirements.
Work flexibly alongside the families, supporting them in the manner that they choose, as appropriate to the role of a Julias House Care Team Member. Take a proactive role in professional training and personal development.
Promote and maintain close relations and liaison with all care staff. Work within the appropriate regulatory bodies' regulations and help to maintain accurate records of methods, evidence of policies and the monitoring of procedures for inspection.
The successful candidate will be based at our Dorset Hospice in Corfe Mullen, working in the Hospice, as well as working across Dorset in the homes of the children and young people we look after. You will have the skills and experience required that will enable you to care for children and young people with complex health care needs, as well as supporting with end-of-life care.
Julias House is an award-winning children's hospice charity dedicated to bringing comfort and care to families across the two counties. Each family we support is unique and so is the care we provide. When a family finds out that their child has a very serious medical condition, which is life-limiting or life-threatening, their world falls apart. Julias House exists to help these children and their families.
We are offering permanent contracts from 20 hours a week, but the hourly rate is £14.99 per hour. A full driving licence and use of a vehicle for business purposes are essential.
