We are looking for a dynamic Relief Assistant Shop Manager to join our friendly retail team. Working in collaboration with the Shop Managers, this position will suit someone who is a retail expert, who has proven experience of creating a brilliant shopping environment and providing an excellent customer experience.
You will have experience of running a well-presented shop and with an eye for detail, will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and flair whilst helping to maximise the sales and profits. You will need to be able to work unsupervised in a methodical and organised manner and be flexible to the needs of the charity.
This role requires you to cover different Julia's House shops across Dorset during your working week, where you will deputise in the absence of the regular Management team. This position is suitable for someone who thrives off variety, who is adaptable and enjoys meeting new people.
As well as processing donations, engaging with the community, and delivering the highest standard of customer service, you will be involved in the management of our superstar volunteers. The ability to plan, organise and communicate effectively, apply sound judgement and be able to work under pressure are key skills requirements of the role.
Excellent people management skills, awareness of Health & Safety compliance and a full driving licence are essential. As a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic, working in a busy, active, and fulfilling environment, you'll be a part of a vibrant team of individuals dedicated to making a difference to the children and families we support.
A full driving licence and use of a car for business purposes are essential for this role. This vacancy is for 30 hours (4 days) per week. Hours will be based on a rota, covering shop opening hours (Monday - Sunday).
