The Vacancy

Every moment counts. Every memory matters. Join our Care Team to provide exceptional care and support to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions at our hospices and in the community.

Our service is rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission. Julia’s House supports over 140 families across Dorset and Wiltshire, in the community, at our hospices, and in families’ homes.

We have two Care Team Member positions available. Successful candidates will be based at our Dorset Hospice in Corfe Mullen, working in the hospice and across Dorset in the homes of the children and young people we support. You should have the skills and experience to care for children with complex health needs and support end-of-life care.

This role offers the opportunity to spend quality time with children and their families, creating meaningful memories. You will receive support through an induction process and any necessary specialist training. If you haven\’t completed the Care Certificate, support will be provided to achieve this qualification.

Flexibility is essential as our care services operate seven days a week, including evenings, weekends, school holidays, and occasional overnight shifts. Shift patterns vary, with rotas prepared 6 weeks in advance. Sample rotas are available in the \’Documents\’ section below.

We offer two permanent contracts for 20 to 25 hours per week, depending on your availability. A full driving license and access to a vehicle for work are required.
