Juliana Custers Interiors is seeking a confident Interior Designer to join our growing London studio, with the opportunity to work on a high-end residential project internationally and support our London projects, commencing imminently. We create homes that are deeply personal to the people who live in them. Our work is rooted in materiality, spatial storytelling and a sensitivity to how spaces are lived in over time. Each project balances architectural clarity with a rich and considered decorative layer, developed in close collaboration with our clients.

This is an opportunity for a midweight designer to take real ownership within a small, collaborative studio. You will play a key role in developing and delivering high-end residential projects from early concept through to installation. With a strong FF&E focus, you will lead scheme development, shaping the overall design direction through materials, finishes, furniture and lighting. You will be responsible for creating clear and compelling presentations, as well as supporting the delivery of projects on site. You should be confident working across all stages of a project, with the ability to balance creative vision with practical delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead FF&E design and scheme development across projects
  • Develop design concepts and translate them into cohesive, resolved interiors
  • Prepare and present design schemes to clients with clarity and confidence
  • Source and specify furniture, materials, finishes and lighting
  • Produce FF&E schedules, specifications and supporting documentation
  • Work closely with clients, suppliers, contractors and consultants
  • Support project delivery through to installation, ensuring quality and consistency
  • Assist in managing budgets and maintaining cost awareness throughout the design process

Requirements

  • 4–7 years’ experience in high-end residential interior design
  • Strong FF&E and scheme design experience
  • Confidence presenting to clients and communicating design ideas
  • Experience working from concept through to completion
  • Understanding of budgets, estimating and cost management
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite (or similar)
  • Highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented
  • Strong interest in materials, craftsmanship and spatial design
  • International project experience beneficial but not essential

About you

You are confident, collaborative and design-led, with a strong sense of ownership over your work. You enjoy working closely with clients and have a natural ability to translate ideas into spaces that feel both personal and refined. You are as comfortable shaping the early vision of a project as you are supporting it through to completion.
