Julian House is a charity dedicated to making a difference to the lives of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in society. We run several projects and every year we help thousands of people out of homelessness, into employment, away from domestic abuse, and more.

Job Role: Team Leader (Supported Housing)

Salary: £27,810 per year

Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Happy to consider a reduction of hours

Contract type: Permanent

Location: Mendip, Shepton Mallet & Frome

Additional information:

  • Valid driver\’s license and access to own vehicle – business insurance will be required for roles involving travel for work.
  • Participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota
  • Participation in a rostered system of working with shifts between the hours of 08:00 AM and 20:00 PM

Although this role is advertised as full-time, we are open to discussing the working hours to suit your needs.

Join our incredible Mendip Off The Streets team, where you’ll be making a real difference in the lives of individuals with a history of homelessness. This is more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to lead change and empower lives.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Working flexibly across multiple supported housing locations in Mendip
  • Supporting clients with a wide range of needs and complexities
  • Holding your own caseload and delivering high-quality, person-centred support
  • Applying a strength-based, trauma-informed approach in everything you do
  • Leading and guiding a small, dedicated team to success

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Experience working with people who may have complex needs and/or challenging behaviours.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the care and support requirements of people experiencing social exclusion.
  • Valid driver\’s license and access to own vehicle – business insurance will be required for roles involving travel for work.
