Job Role:

Relief Hostel Support Worker (Days)

Hourly rate: £14.82 per hour

Hours: Flexible, covering between the hours of 07:30 AM and 10:00 PM

Contract type: Relief (Zero Hours)

Location: Bath

The Role

Are you passionate about helping others and making a genuine impact in your community? At Julian House, we’re committed to delivering compassionate, person-centred support to those facing homelessness and vulnerability.

We’re looking for a Relief Hostel Support Worker to join our incredible team at the Manvers Street Hostel in Bath – a service that’s open 24/7, 365 days a year, offering vital support to former rough sleepers on their journey to stability and independence.

Responsibilities Include

  1. Give clients advice and information, providing an enabling service so they can access the appropriate services
  2. Ensure all clients are provided with a high-quality person-centred service
  3. Maintain client records so they are accurate and fully updated
  4. Responsible for the day-to-day health and safety, and the safe running of the hostel

Since job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the post holder may be required to undertake other duties, which are broadly in line with the above key responsibilities.

Qualifications / Requirements

  1. Empathy and understanding of the needs of Julian House clients
  2. Good communication skills to build relationships with clients and external agencies
