About Julian House is a charity dedicated to making a difference to the lives of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in society. We run several projects and every year we help thousands of people out of homelessness, into employment, away from domestic abuse, and more.
Role purpose We are entering an intensive period of procurement as several public contracts come up for re-tendering at the end of 2025. We’re looking for a highly organised and persuasive writer to work with our Business Development Manager, securing funding from local and central government to sustain and grow our life-changing services across the South West.
Responsibilities
- Identifying and assessing new contract opportunities to inform seniors’ decision-making about whether or not to respond to invitations to tender.
- Representing Julian House at market engagement and other provider events as needed.
- Coordinating and writing high-quality responses to tenders working closely with colleagues in Client Services, Finance, HR, and other teams as needed, to design solutions which are both ambitious and deliverable.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Excellent writing skills, with ability to flex your style to meet different commissioners’ specifications.
- Experience of working collaboratively to create proposals and deliver projects, with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Some experience of public sector procurement processes would be desirable.
