The day to day:
- Beginning your journey within the Internal Sales team, you'll gain a thorough understanding of the business, its products and customers, before progressively taking on greater responsibility and developing your own portfolio.
- You'll work closely with experienced sales professionals, receiving ongoing coaching, mentoring and negotiation training, whilst gaining exposure to key commercial and technical functions across the business.
- Upon successful completion of the programme, you'll be fully prepared to manage your own sales territory within the flexible packaging division.
- Supporting the Sales team with the preparation, coordination and follow-up of customer meetings.
- Developing a strong understanding of bespoke packaging products and industry trends.
- Building relationships with existing customers whilst identifying opportunities for growth.
- Assisting with new business development activities and customer acquisition.
- Gaining exposure to internal departments including production, applications engineering and commercial teams.
- Learning how to effectively prepare for and conduct customer presentations and negotiations.
- Monitoring market activity, competitor movements and customer developments.
- Supporting order processing and day-to-day account management activities.
- Preparing to independently manage a defined sales territory following completion of the programme.
