The day to day:

As Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for driving growth within the flexible packaging division, developing existing customer relationships and securing new business opportunities across a variety of sectors, with a particular focus on the food and beverage industry.

Working closely with internal teams, you'll develop tailored solutions that meet customers' packaging requirements, positioning yourself as a trusted commercial partner and industry expert.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying, pursuing and securing new business opportunities across target markets
  • Developing and expanding relationships within existing customer accounts to maximise revenue opportunities
  • Promoting and selling bespoke packaging solutions to customers across a range of industries
  • Creating and implementing sales strategies to achieve and exceed agreed targets
  • Conducting meetings via telephone, video conferencing and face-to-face visits with decision-makers at all levels
  • Building strong relationships with customers and understanding their operational and commercial objectives
  • Managing the sales process from initial enquiry through to implementation and ongoing account development
  • Collaborating with internal departments to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities
  • Maintaining accurate records and proactively managing day-to-day sales activities

What you'll bring:

  • A minimum of two years' experience within Business Development, Account Management or B2B Sales
  • A proven track record of developing new business and growing customer accounts
  • Experience working within a field-based sales environment
  • Confidence working towards sales targets, KPIs and revenue objectives
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • A proactive, resilient and self-motivated approach
  • The ability to build credibility with stakeholders from operational teams through to board-level decision-makers
  • An interest in manufacturing environments or technical products would be advantageous
  • A degree would be beneficial but is not essential
  • The ability to work from the Westbury office as required
