Juice Recruitment is excited to be working in partnership with an established energy and sustainability consultancy, as they look to appoint a Senior Business Development Executive to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced B2B salesperson to take ownership of new business growth across the private sector, selling a broad portfolio of energy, sustainability and decarbonisation solutions.

The business already has an established presence within the public sector, working with organisations including schools and larger trusts. The next stage of growth is to develop the private-sector market, creating new relationships and winning high-value projects across a range of industries. You’ll be selling a diverse portfolio of solutions including energy audits, energy procurement, renewable energy, solar installations etc, alongside wider energy, compliance and sustainability services. This is a genuine new-business role, with the autonomy to build your own pipeline, identify opportunities and manage the sales process from initial prospecting through to close.

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and grow the company's private-sector customer base, identifying new commercial opportunities
  • Generate your own pipeline through cold calling, outbound campaigns, networking, referrals and other business development activity
  • Identify and engage senior decision-makers, influencers and procurement stakeholders
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through to proposal, negotiation and contract completion
  • Develop commercially compelling proposals and solutions in collaboration with internal technical teams and delivery partners
  • Build long-term relationships with clients and identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell across the wider service portfolio
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting and customer activity through the CRM
  • Consistently work towards and exceed agreed new business and revenue targets
  • Attend relevant meetings, networking events, exhibitions and industry events

WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in B2B new business sales or business development
  • A proven track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets
  • Strong experience in proactive prospecting, cold calling and pipeline generation
  • Confidence engaging with senior decision-makers
  • Experience managing opportunities through the full sales cycle
  • A full UK driving licence

AND FOR YOU:

  • £50,000 – £60,000 salary + very generous commission structure
  • Excellent opportunity for career progression
  • The opportunity to take genuine ownership of private-sector business development
  • The chance to sell a diverse portfolio of high-value energy and sustainability solutions
  • Join a growing business operating in an increasingly important market

Experience within energy, sustainability, renewables, utilities, construction, facilities, compliance or a related sector would be advantageous, but isn't essential. What's most important is a proven ability to sell, generate new opportunities and learn a technical proposition.
