Juice Recruitment is delighted to be working with one of our long-standing clients as they look to recruit a Part-Time People Advisor.

Based in Melksham, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to work closely with the Head of People, delivering a proactive, people-focused HR service across the business.

This is a fully office-based position, offering the chance to build strong relationships with colleagues across the organisation while playing a key role in shaping the employee experience.

  • DAY TO DAY
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
  • Manage a range of employee relations cases, including absence, performance, conduct and grievances, escalating more complex matters where appropriate.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to performance management, retention initiatives and offboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers throughout recruitment, including drafting job descriptions, shortlisting candidates and supporting interviews.
  • Prepare contracts, contractual amendments and a variety of employment documentation.
  • Champion the ongoing development and maintenance of the HR Information System (HRIS), ensuring employee records remain accurate, confidential and GDPR compliant.
  • Produce HR reports and people data to support business KPIs and informed decision-making.
  • Coordinate learning and development activities, helping to identify training needs and support the annual training plan.
  • Assist with salary review processes and benchmarking activities.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, internal communications, wellbeing events and wider People projects.
  • WHAT WE’D LOVE TO SEE
  • Previous experience in a People Advisor or HR Advisor role with strong employee relations experience.
  • Confidence advising managers on a broad range of HR matters, and be able to take ownership of ER matters.
  • A sound understanding of UK employment legislation.
  • Experience supporting the full employee lifecycle.
  • A proactive, approachable and solutions-focused mindset.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to balance business objectives with employee wellbeing.
  • Experience supporting learning and development initiatives would be advantageous.
  • Confidence working with HR data and reporting.
