Juice Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing logistics and distribution business in their search for a reliable Van Driver to join their transport team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional and customer-focused driver who enjoys being out on the road and takes pride in delivering an exceptional service. You'll play a key role in ensuring goods are delivered safely, efficiently and on time while representing the business to customers.
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely operate a company van to complete scheduled delivery routes
- Carry out multi-drop deliveries, ensuring all orders are delivered accurately and on time
- Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements
- Load and unload goods safely, ensuring products are handled with care
- Complete delivery paperwork and records accurately
- Provide a professional and friendly service when interacting with customers
- Follow planned routes while adapting to changing traffic or delivery requirements where necessary
- Maintain compliance with all road traffic legislation and health & safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with the transport team regarding delays or operational issues
- Represent the business professionally at all times
WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE:
- A full UK Driving Licence with no more than three penalty points
- Previous experience as a Van Driver, Delivery Driver or Multi-Drop Driver
- Experience completing multi-drop deliveries in a fast-paced environment
- Good knowledge of UK road networks and safe driving practices
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities
- A reliable, professional and flexible approach to work
- The ability to work independently whilst contributing positively to a busy transport team
