With rapid expansion across the UK, EU, and UAE, this company is bringing its marketing in-house and is looking for a talented Retention/Email Marketing Manager to join their team. As the first senior marketing hire, you’ll have the chance to shape the retention strategy, with a strong focus on customer engagement, data-driven decision-making, and team development.
In this role, you\’ll lead and optimise the businesses email channel to engage and delight customers after purchase, ensuring they stay connected to the brand. By leveraging data insights and implementing A/B testing, you’ll refine every touchpoint to maximise engagement and hit key performance goals.
You’ll play a key role in developing and driving the company’s retention strategy. This role is a unique opportunity to own the post-purchase journey, optimising customer engagement and retention through impactful email marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Email Strategy Development: Create, implement, and optimise a robust email marketing strategy focused on customer retention. Leverage A/B testing to fine-tune messaging, timing, and format, aiming to drive engagement and repeat sales.
Post-Purchase Journey: Create a seamless, customer-first experience that strengthens brand loyalty and enhances repeat purchase rates.
Data-Driven Optimisation: Use robust data analysis to guide decisions, identify opportunities, and drive improvements across email and direct mail channels.
A/B Testing: Execute and interpret A/B tests to continuously refine messaging, visuals, and timing for peak performance.
Multi-Channel Engagement: Beyond email, lead direct mail efforts and identify new channels to keep our customers engaged with fresh and relevant communication.
Customer Journey Optimisation: Enhance the post-purchase experience by developing targeted email campaigns that deepen customer loyalty, ensuring the journey from first purchase to repeat engagement is seamless and engaging.
Data-Driven Decision-Making: Analyse customer behaviour and campaign data to inform strategy, continually optimising efforts to align with business KPIs around engagement, retention, and revenue growth.
Performance Tracking & Reporting: Regularly report on campaign performance, using metrics like open rates, click-through rates, and ROI to measure success and highlight areas for improvement.
Team Development: Support the growth of the email marketing function by staying up-to-date on trends and best practices in retention, building a culture of innovation within the team.

Collaboration and Communication: Proven experience working within cross-functional teams, with strong communication and briefing skills to bring campaigns to life.
Innovative Thinking: Ability to develop creative, customer-centric strategies that drive loyalty, retention, and repeat purchases.
