Juice Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a highly regarded educational organisation in Gloucester in their search for a Student Mentor to join their team on a temporary basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting young people, promoting wellbeing, and helping students achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
The Role
As a Student Mentor, you will work closely with a cohort of students, providing pastoral support, wellbeing guidance, and facilitating engaging student development sessions. You will play a key role in creating a positive and inclusive environment, helping students overcome challenges and succeed throughout their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and facilitate student development and enrichment workshops
- Provide pastoral care and wellbeing support to students
- Build positive and professional relationships with learners
- Identify students requiring additional support and signpost where appropriate
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Support safeguarding practices and promote student welfare at all times
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure students receive the best possible support
About You
We are looking for a compassionate, approachable, and proactive individual who has experience working with young people and is confident facilitating group sessions.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience delivering workshops, training sessions, or group activities to young people
- Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and responsibilities
- Previous experience providing pastoral, wellbeing, or mentoring support
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build trust and motivate students from a range of backgrounds
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
