At Juice Recruitment, we're delighted to be supporting a well-established and highly respected product-led business in their search for a Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator to join their friendly and collaborative team in Bath.
This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and analytical supply chain professional who enjoys taking ownership, building strong supplier relationships, and ensuring products are delivered on time and within budget.
Working closely with the Production Manager, you'll play a key role in forecasting, purchasing, inventory management, and supplier coordination within a fast-paced, seasonal environment.
The Role
As Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator, you'll support the end-to-end procurement process, helping to ensure product availability whilst maintaining cost efficiency and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities will include
- Supporting forecasting activities and helping to ensure timely product supply
- Coordinating product reprints and new product launches with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Managing purchase orders from placement through to delivery
- Monitoring stock levels and recommending actions to minimise stock shortages
- Maintaining accurate product pricing, costings, and system data
- Liaising with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to coordinate shipments
- Tracking production timelines and providing regular progress updates
- Producing and analysing KPI reports relating to stock availability and shipping performance
- Working collaboratively across departments to support forecasting and seasonal planning
- Identifying risks proactively and implementing practical solutions to improve processes
About You
We're keen to speak with candidates who are highly organised, commercially aware and confident working with both data and suppliers.
You'll ideally have
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience within purchasing, demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, or a similar supply chain role
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of data
- Excellent analytical and numerical abilities
- Outstanding organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Previous experience working with overseas suppliers would be advantageous
Desirable Experience
- FMCG, product, manufacturing, print, packaging, or retail sector experience
- Experience importing goods from Far East suppliers
- Exposure to ERP or stock management systems
- Additional language skills such as Mandarin or Cantonese would be beneficial but are not essential
