Are you a positive and proactive HR professional? Do you have solid HR skills and a track record of making a difference? We are keen to attract an experienced HR professional who will support managers company-wide and be responsible for the continuing development and delivery of a broad HR service.

Working with the Head of People and Performance, the HR advisor will be responsible for helping the continuing development and implementation of quality HR processes. You’ll play a key role in driving the organisation forward as an employer of choice and promote a culture that supports the firm’s business needs and long-term strategic goals. This includes the delivery of a comprehensive range of HR services and activities both on a day-to-day and longer-term basis.

DAY TO DAY:

  • Working with the Head of People and Performance to embed a culture that encourages autonomy and self-development at all levels of the business.
  • Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Overseeing the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Fostering a positive working environment through effective communication, conflict resolution, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Identifying development needs and coordinating with the Head of People and Performance to develop and implement learning and development programs to enhance personal and professional development.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and employment laws, updating policies and procedures as necessary.
  • Maintaining employee records and managing and refining HR systems.
  • Ensuring the values and ethos of the firm are communicated, implemented, and upheld at all levels.
  • Taking responsibility and leading disciplinary, performance, and grievance processes, if required.
  • Providing leadership on people-related issues and policies across the firm.
  • Communicating at all levels in the business and supporting business development and change.

WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE:

  • Proven HR experience at an Officer/Advisor level or above.
  • Effective and diplomatic communication skills at all levels, with an ability to flex style to suit the context.
  • Someone ambitious, keen to make a difference.
  • Good commercial acumen and pragmatism.
  • Ideally you will have a background in the professional services sector, not essential.
