Juice Personnel are currently working with a well-established company, who are seeking a Billing Team Leader for a small team of 3. The role requires a strong leadership presence to help with people management as well as invoicing, billing, and analysing data.

- Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 per annum DOE
The Role:
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Billing Team Leader to oversee the billing process, ensure accuracy in invoicing, and provide strong leadership to a small team of 3. You will be responsible for managing workflows, analysing billing data, and improving efficiency within the department. The role requires strict adherence to business targets, contract-specific requirements, and SLA commitments, while maintaining the highest standard of customer service for both internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of invoicing staff to ensure accurate invoicing and business targets are met
- Ensure team productivity aligns with daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs & SLA requirements
- Conduct daily meetings with the team to review workload and performance
- Provide daily statistical updates on productivity and backlog to the business
- Attend internal onboarding meetings to support the rollout of new contracts
- Prepare for and participate in regular meetings to reduce overall Work in Progress (WIP)
- Perform quality checks on team members' work
- Conduct monthly one-to-one meetings with team members
- Take ownership of escalated issues and provide effective resolutions
- Manage team overtime budgets effectively
- Conduct annual appraisals and performance reviews
- Oversee recruitment, training, and development of new staff
- Handle disciplinary actions, performance management, and absence management for the billing team
- Provide one-on-one coaching and continuous development for team members
- Review aged debt and participate in regular review meetings
About You:
- Proven experience in a team leader or management role, ideally within billing or invoicing
- Strong experience in invoicing, billing, and financial analysis
- Exceptional people management and customer service skills
- Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to use initiative
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with all levels of stakeholders
- Highly organised with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Ability to adapt management style to support different team members
- Ability to work flexibly and meet business requirements
Desirable:
- Experience working within a fast-paced invoicing team
- Knowledge of patient lifting and handling equipment used in the healthcare industry
Education & Experience:
- Educated to GCSE level with at least 3 A-C passes, including Maths and English
