A charming and historic independent hotel in the heart of the highlands is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Hotel Manager to join our friendly team. Located directly in the stunning Cairngorms National Park, this venue prides themselves on delivering genuine Scottish Highland hospitality. About the Role

As Assistant Hotel Manager, you will support the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, smooth daily running of the property, and a motivated team environment. This is a hands‑on leadership position in a busy, all‑year‑round resort hotel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing day‑to‑day hotel operations including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and bar
  • Deliver and maintain high standards of guest service and satisfaction
  • Support staff supervision, training, rostering, and performance management
  • Handle guest queries, feedback, and any issues with a positive, solution‑focused approach
  • Monitor health & safety, licensing, and compliance requirements
  • Contribute to revenue generation through upselling, events, and seasonal promotions
  • Deputise for the General Manager in their absence

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous supervisory or management experience in a hotel, hospitality, or licensed premises environment (essential)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a diverse team
