Jug & Bottles is looking for an experienced and proactive Sales Accounts and Business Development Manager to join our team in Stratford. You will plan, organise and carry out market research to support our marketing and sales activity, helping us grow our customer base and strengthen relationships with existing accounts.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong commercial instinct who enjoys working closely with senior colleagues to shape sales strategy, while also getting hands-on with customer accounts, reporting and staff development.
Key responsibilities:
- You will liaise with senior staff to determine the range of goods or services to be sold, contributing to the development of sales strategies and the setting of sales targets.
- You will discuss requirements with clients, carry out surveys and analyse customer reactions to product, packaging and price.
- You will compile and analyse sales figures, prepare proposals for marketing campaigns and promotional activities, and undertake market research.
- You will also handle customer accounts directly, recruit and train junior sales staff, produce reports and recommendations on marketing and sales strategy for senior management, and keep up to date with our products and the wider competitive landscape.
What we're looking for:
- Candidates should hold GCSEs/A levels (or equivalent, such as a BTEC/SQA award or degree) and/or have relevant sales or business development experience.
- A professional qualification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing or a similar recognised sales body is desirable but not essential.
- We're looking for someone with strong communication and analytical skills, commercial awareness, and the confidence to manage and mentor junior staff.
