Key responsibilities

  • Lead world class quality training sessions, workshops and seminars (in-person if required and virtual).
  • The Thrive Trainer is responsible for the delivery of Thrive training courses to a consistently high standard across contracts and the wider network (in-person if required and virtual).
  • Support the evolution of course content and the trainer community by modelling best practice, mentoring and coaching trainers, and providing implementation support to help customers embed Thrive effectively.
  • Contribute to revised Quality Assurance (QA) and Compliance frameworks to strengthen fidelity to Thrive materials and methodology, reduce variability, and protect brand integrity.

Additional responsibilities

  • Content development: Contribute to updating and refreshing existing course materials, slide decks and handouts to keep content relevant and effective.
  • Trainer licensing and development: Support licensing for new/returning trainers (employed and freelance) to ensure clarity on expectations, updates to materials and ways of working.
  • Implementation support: Provide implementation support as directed by the Implementation Team, helping customers embed Thrive following training through enablement sessions, guidance and reinforcement of best practice.
  • Quality assurance (QA): Contribute to the QA process; monitor and improve training quality through observation, feedback and standardised checks; ensure materials and delivery meet agreed standards and remain compliant with internal policies.
  • Compliance: Carry out compliance checks and complete reports as required, supporting adherence to agreed standards, required processes and contractual obligations.
  • Modelled delivery (TTT): Provide modelled Thrive training sessions for Train the Trainer (TTT) delegates to observe, demonstrating high-quality facilitation and fidelity to the programme.
  • Mentoring and coaching: Provide mentoring for newly qualified trainers and coaching for any trainer as required (including follow-up after QA observations) to build capability, confidence and consistency in delivery.
  • CPD leadership (Guest Speakers): Lead Guest Speaker CPD sessions as the host trainer, ensuring a consistent experience and clear links to Thrive practice.
  • Thrive supervision, support and advice sessions: Lead Thrive Supervision, Support and Advice Sessions in line with the agreed structure, creating a safe and purposeful space for reflective practice and continuous improvement.
  • Network delivery and events: Deliver training across the wider network (e.g., multiple sites/regions/partners) and lead network events, ensuring a consistent learner experience while adapting appropriately for different audiences.
  • Webinars and thought leadership: Contribute to Thrive in Action webinars and other digital sessions, supporting engagement and consistent messaging.
  • Ambassador School & School of Excellence administration: Manage associated paperwork and evaluations, maintaining accurate records and supporting timely review/renewal activity.
  • Freelance Associate Trainer alignment: Support a high-quality freelance trainer pool by communicating updates, reinforcing expectations, and promoting fidelity to Thrive materials and methodology.

About you

  • Experience: 3+ years in a training/facilitation role, with responsibility for delivering structured courses to groups (in-person and/or virtual). Experience delivering within education or public sector settings, and/or across multiple sites/regions or partner networks.
  • Communication: Exceptional facilitation, public speaking skills; able to simplify complex ideas and adapt to different audiences. Experience coaching others (e.g., “train the trainer”), influencing stakeholders and giving constructive feedback.
  • Tech savvy: Proficient in Zoom/Teams, PowerPoint and basic LMS platforms. Experience with content tools such as Canva, Articulate Rise, etc.
  • Organisation: Able to manage multiple cohorts, schedules and stakeholders; comfortable tracking actions, follow-ups and QA outcomes. Experience supporting implementations and change rollouts.
  • Compliance: Able to follow required processes and maintain accurate records and reports; strong attention to detail and professionalism when writing content and when working with customer and partner organisations. Experience conducting compliance checks/audits or working within regulated/contracted or safeguarding delivery environments.
  • Quality mindset: Evidence-based approach to improving learning: uses feedback, data and observation to raise standards and consistency. Experience writing and creating course content, resources.
  • Education: Experience in education, facilitation of learning, trauma informed and attachment approaches, Formal teaching qualification, Thrive Trainer Licence, Thrive Licensed Practitioner Licence.
