About the job

This role involves planning, coordinating, mentoring, and supporting training and assessment for apprentices in the Early Years Education sector from level 2 to level 5. You will share your knowledge and experience from the sector to ensure apprentices achieve their qualifications efficiently and effectively.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assess apprentices’ skills and knowledge, identify gaps, and develop tailored training plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and undertake workplace observations.
  • Support high-quality training delivery, including functional skills, and assess learners’ progress using ePortfolio systems.
  • Provide tutorial support on topics such as Prevent, British Values, safeguarding, and additional learning needs.
  • Coordinate candidate progress, support portfolio completion, and facilitate assessments and reviews.
  • Ensure timely achievement of qualifications, maintain documentation, and support the end-point assessment process.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and safeguarding practices within the organization.

About you

The ideal candidate will share our values of student-centeredness, inclusivity, and high standards. Essential criteria include:

  • Qualifications or experience in the subject area.
  • Up-to-date industry knowledge.
  • Level 2 Numeracy and Literacy qualifications.
  • Experience working with employers in training or customer relations roles.
  • Strong IT skills and willingness to work with e-portfolio systems.
  • Ability to motivate learners and build professional relationships.
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel.

Desirable criteria include:

  • Assessors or IV/IQA qualifications.
  • Experience in Further Education or similar environments.
  • Early Years Advanced Practitioner or Management experience.
