Early Intervention Practitioner Tutor in Bristol

As an Early Intervention Practitioner Tutor, you will support apprentices in developing skills, knowledge and behaviours, ensuring high‑quality training and successful completion of programmes.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct skills reviews with apprentices and employers, identifying skill and knowledge gaps.
• Develop and manage individual training plans tailored to candidate needs.
• Maintain records and documentation for individual candidates, including portfolios and assessment evidence.
• Support delivery of high‑quality training, exceeding awarding body quality standards, across functional skills, English and Maths, and workplace training.
• Provide tutorial support on Prevent and British Values, Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare, Safeguarding, and additional learning support.
• Assist with remote online delivery of webinars and training on mental health, well‑being, careers, sexual exploitation and safe online use.
• Develop practitioner competence in early help, safeguarding, and multi‑agency working.
• Monitor candidate progress, support completion of portfolios, endpoint assessments, and other evidence‑sets to ensure timely completion.
• Record and report on ALS and provide information to employees and employers to support apprenticeship programmes.
• Liaise with line managers for reviews and appraisals, contributing to the regular self‑assessment monitoring process.
• Take responsibility for the quality of the start‑up pack (on‑boarding) and evidence base for each apprentice.
• Attend CPD and standardisation events remotely and at the Bristol Head Office, and company conferences as required.
• Support apprentices and employers in the endpoint assessment process.
• Complete all relevant documentation and maintain progress records against specified targets.
• Ensure timely achievement of all students on programme.
• Perform any other duties reasonably required from time to time.

Essential Criteria

• Understand CQC and Ofsted requirements and education inspection frameworks.
• Have experience working with early help, support and prevention services or in collaborative outcomes.
• Maintain up‑to‑date industry knowledge.
• Hold a qualification in the subject or sector area.
• Hold Level 2 numeracy and literacy qualifications.
• Have experience working with employers in a training or customer‑relations role.
• Have strong digital skills and willingness to work with e‑portfolio systems.
• Be able to motivate learners and ensure they complete on time.
• Hold a full driving licence, own a vehicle and be willing to travel to customer sites where required.
• Demonstrate high motivation and initiative.

Desirable Criteria

• Hold an assessor qualification.
• Have a relevant degree or equivalent level qualification.
• Hold an IV/IQA qualification.
• Experience working in Further Education or a similar environment.
• Health and Social Care experience.
