About Us
At Judicium Education, our Health, Safety and Fire service supports schools in fulfilling their statutory duties through audits, training, policy development, and consultancy. We aim to be the most trusted Health, Safety and Fire partner in the education sector, delivering expert guidance and practical support with a client-first approach. As part of the wider SEG group, we contribute to the mission of being the leading professional services provider in the market - known for expertise and excellence.
About the Role
As a Health & Safety Consultant and Fire Risk Assessor at Judicium, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional health and safety services to our school and multi-academy trust clients. You will be responsible for delivering expert consultancy, conducting comprehensive fire risk assessments and health & safety audits, and contributing as an effective, forward-thinking member of the Health, Safety and Fire team. You will also act as a thought leader—spotting trends, anticipating emerging risks, and shaping improvements across the sector.
This role involves advising clients with clear, practical, and tailored guidance, delivering high-quality health & safety and fire safety training, and responding promptly and professionally to client queries, feedback, and concerns. You will maintain accurate records, support the continual development of internal processes and tools, and collaborate closely with colleagues to share best practices and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong analytical skills, capable of identifying hazards, interpreting patterns across multi-academy trusts and their schools, and recommending meaningful, practicable and holistic solutions. A commitment to ongoing professional development, sector awareness, and the maintenance of relevant competencies is essential.
About You
You are an experienced Health, Safety and Fire Safety professional with a strong understanding of how to deliver clear, practical, and confident advice. Ideally, you have worked within the education sector—or a related environment where your skills easily transfer—and you are comfortable engaging with a range of stakeholders, from school leaders to estates teams and central trust staff. You bring proven experience conducting fire risk assessments and advising on fire safety measures, along with a solid working knowledge of relevant regulations, government guidance, and standards for educational settings.
You thrive in customer-facing roles, building strong relationships and delivering high-quality consultancy services with professionalism and clarity. You are confident delivering training or are keen to develop this skill further, and you communicate complex information in a way that is accessible and engaging. You have a proactive mindset, spotting risks early, identifying patterns across clients, and contributing thoughtful insights that help drive improvements.
You will hold CertIOSH, CMIOSH, or CIEH chartered status, and you will have completed a suitable fire risk assessment qualification. A training qualification is desirable, but not essential. Above all, you are committed to CPD, staying informed about sector trends, emerging risks, and best practice, ensuring the advice you provide is consistently up to date, accurate, and effective.
