We are looking for a Data Protection Officer / Consultant to join our innovative data protection team to support our diverse range of experience, expertise, and approaches.

If you have a data protection, legal or compliance background, get in touch with us to discuss how your experience can transfer to providing a robust service to our clients and how we can support you with your career. We offer a generous benefits package and remote/home working with attendance at the London/client onsite visits. You must live within a reasonable distance from either our clients or the London office.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with our clients to develop long-lasting relationships and provide innovative compliance.
  • Proven track record of working independently with responsibility for providing clients with recommendations on potential risks and audit reports on compliance levels within data protection legislation.
  • Ability to assess situations quickly on data breaches and how to contain them.
  • Lead on reviewing, drafting policies and procedures.
  • Excellent organisational skills, listening, oral and literacy skills.
  • Strong written analytical report writing and research skills.
  • Experience or willingness to provide client training virtually and in-person.

If you can demonstrate the following, we\’d love to hear from you:

  • Experience in data protection, regulatory/compliance, legal, education or consultancy background will be considered – additional cross-training will be provided.
  • High-level problem-solving skills, capable of producing and researching written content to a professional quality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to and communicate effectively with people at all levels, managing the differing expectations of all stakeholders.
  • Strong experience of using IT, particularly in using Microsoft office and 365.
  • Ability and willingness to undertake continual professional development training.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the education sector is desirable but not essential.
