Are you an organised, proactive and experienced Legal Secretary with a passion for supporting a busy Family Law team? Looking to join a friendly, professional, and growing department in our Bromley office where your skills will make a real impact? Then read on!
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality secretarial and administrative support to solicitors in the Family Department.
- Prepare, type and format legal documents and correspondence (audio and copy typing).
- Manage client interactions professionally, both in person and over the phone, ensuring excellent client care.
- Maintain and organise client files, including opening, closing and archiving both digital and paper files.
- Assist with monthly billing, accounts requisitions and statements of account.
- Prepare and collate court bundles, briefs and supporting documentation for hearings.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings with clients, counsel and experts.
- Handle incoming and outgoing post, scanning and diary management for court dates and directions.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Strong IT skills with proficiency in MS Office and audio typing (approx. 70 wpm).
- Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with family law processes, forms and terminology (desirable).
- Experience with case management systems (Visual Files and SOS preferred).
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
