As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Housing Solicitor to join our dynamic team.

OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

To undertake fee-earning work and develop with support from the Housing Partner.

To provide a profitable contribution to the Department within Company procedures and guidelines and to meet or exceed company standards and client expectations.

KEY TASK AREAS

  • To provide clients with a dedicated and professional service in line with the firm’s client care standards.
  • To run your own busy housing management caseload to include some leasehold matters and to ensure that deadlines are fully met.
  • To support/assist senior staff on large and complex matters.
  • To manage the support services for which you are responsible, including supervision of junior staff.
  • To be fully engaged in marketing and networking activities whether on a firm-wide, departmental or office basis.
  • To maintain financial control of own ledgers with particular regard to cash flow control through collection of monies on account and billing procedures.
  • To assist in the implementation of the firm’s case management system.
  • To undertake any job specific training.
  • To ensure the confidentiality of the firm’s and client’s documentation and information.
  • To conduct training and/or contribute to any training events for clients.
  • Undertake advocacy if required.
  • KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong experience in a housing management legal department in a solicitor’s firm or in-house.
  • Confident communicator with good relationship building skills.
  • Strong technical ability with attention to detail.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Enthusiastic and Self motivated.
  • Knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Must have a flexible attitude to work and time.
  • Ability to prioritise caseload and re-schedule as required to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate business acumen and commercial awareness.
