Judge & Priestley are currently hiring for a Private Client Paralegal to be based in our Sidcup office. J&P are proud to be listed in The Legal 500. Listed in the Legal 500, our Private Client team has grown significantly in recent years and is now one of the biggest teams in the south east, supporting and advising clients on a comprehensive range of personal matters including: estate planning, tax, trust, contentious and non-contentious probate, wills and powers of attorney and elderly client affairs. The team members support clients making important personal decisions and through often challenging and difficult times in their lives and take pride in their empathetic approach, interacting with clients in a supportive manner, in clear terms which are easily understood.
We are currently looking for candidates for Beckenham, Blackheath, Sidcup and Bromley.
Key Responsibilities
As a paralegal in the team, you will be working with solicitors and partners to support their activities. From an early stage, you will be encouraged, under supervision, to take on direct client contact and documentation drafting as part of your training and progression.
You should be a bright enthusiastic candidate with proven academic aptitude and have the genuine desire and talent for a career in law. As an able and committed team player you should enjoy legal research and be committed to taking the lead on enhancing your knowledge to ensure you have a strong understanding of the law. You also have a practical problem-solving approach to your work and the ability to think creatively whilst working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Completed the Legal Practice Course and have a keen interest in Private Client
- Completed either a qualifying law degree minimum 2:1 or non-law degree, minimum grade 2:1 along with GDL graded at commendation or above
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
