We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established care environment for a Chef to support the delivery of high-quality, nutritious meals for residents, patients, and staff. This role would suit a chef who enjoys producing well-balanced food in a structured kitchen environment, while working closely with a wider care and hospitality team.

Responsibilities as Chef

  • Prepare and cook meals in line with planned menus
  • Deliver high standards of food quality, nutrition, and presentation
  • Support stock control, deliveries, and food storage procedures
  • Ensure stock rotation and minimise waste
  • Train and support junior kitchen staff
  • Maintain compliance with Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, and COSHH regulations
  • Provide a professional and courteous service at all times

What We’re Looking For

  • NVQ Level 2 in Catering or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience within catering or care environments advantageous
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety procedures
  • Calm, professional, and organised approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and empathy towards older people
