An established 35-bedroom hotel near Ware, Hertfordshire, is looking for an experienced Head Chef to take the lead in its busy kitchen, delivering high-quality food across a varied and exciting range of services.
From breakfast and brunch to lunch, dinner, functions and special events, this is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and takes pride in both food quality and team development.
The Role
As Head Chef, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, inspiring your team to deliver consistently high standards across every service.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading, motivating and developing a kitchen team of 15.
Overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
Maintaining exceptional standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
Working closely with the Head of Food to develop creative, seasonal menus.
Managing kitchen costs, gross profit (GP), budgets and stock control.
Ensuring full compliance with HACCP, food safety, health and safety, and allergen procedures.
Creating a positive kitchen culture built around teamwork, organisation and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from an experienced Head Chef with a background in a busy hotel, restaurant or gastro pub.
