We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded, food-led restaurant in Oxford for an experienced Assistant General Manager to join the senior leadership team. The ideal candidate will come from either an independent restaurant background or a high-quality branded operation, with a genuine passion for food, wine, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities as Assistant General Manager:

  • Support the General Manager with day-to-day operations
  • Lead service from the floor and maintain exceptional guest experience standards
  • Train, mentor, and develop supervisors and front-of-house teams
  • Support wine service and food knowledge training across the team
  • Ensure smooth coordination between FOH and kitchen during service
  • Maintain high operational and presentation standards
  • Assist with rotas, staffing, compliance, and team organisation

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience as an Assistant General Manager, Restaurant Manager, or strong Deputy Manager
  • Background in independent restaurants or premium branded hospitality
