Overview
A corporate-led Meetings & Events / Conference Hotel in Manchester seeks a Sales Office Manager, offering a salary up to £36,000.
The hotel has 117 bedrooms and 15 meeting rooms accommodating 2–280 delegates.
The role is to lead the Sales Office team and manage event sales enquiries to convert them into bookings, ensuring a smooth transition during leadership changes.
Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for event sales enquiries and convert enquiries into bookings.
- Plan with the operational team to ensure everything needed to deliver an excellent event on the day.
- Focus primarily on inbound/reactive sales, with a portion of time dedicated to proactive sales and business development to identify new revenue opportunities.
- Forecast, budget and analyse Groups, Meetings & Events business; support the General Manager in planning activities to achieve budget.
- Implement revenue management operations, procedures and best practices.
- Work with the support and guidance of a hotel management company.
- Mentor, guide, and manage the Sales Office team.
- Oversee 3 Conference Co-ordinators and 1 Reservation Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Leadership or Management experience within a hotel or Meetings & Events Sales Office.
- Experience with both inbound/reactive sales and proactive sales is highly beneficial.

- Base salary £34k–£36k, negotiated on experience.
- Mostly Monday to Friday office hours; 40 hours per week; full-time permanent position.
