About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Home Head Chef to lead the kitchen at a care home in Birmingham (B1). This is a great opportunity for an experienced chef who takes pride in preparing nutritious, high-quality meals for residents, while enjoying great pay and flexible daytime working hours.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare varied, nutritious menus suitable for residents' dietary needs
- Lead and support kitchen staff to maintain high standards
- Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, health and safety regulations
- Manage stock control, ordering, and portion control effectively
- Adapt menus for specific dietary requirements (e.g. soft food, allergies, diabetic needs)
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Head Chef, ideally within care home, healthcare, or contract catering
- Strong understanding of nutrition and special dietary requirements
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Sound knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
- A caring, patient, and flexible approach to work
