An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Sous Chef with a flair for pastry to join a prestigious hospitality operation in the City of London. The operation consists of multiple private dining rooms and meeting spaces where the food offer is modern British and European cuisine at a Michelin level. Menus are seasonal with a strong focus on presentation, precision and consistency.
Working under a Head Chef with Michelin experience, you’ll be part of a refined, detail-driven kitchen delivering exceptional food in an exclusive, client-facing environment.
Your role:
- Support the Head Chef in delivering exceptional standards
- Take a hands-on role in both prep and service
- Run sections and assist in leading junior team members
- Maintain consistency and quality across all services
- Contribute to menu development and planning
- Support on the pastry section
- Work closely with front-of-house teams
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours (2/3 evenings per week).
What we’re looking for:
- A Sous Chef or a Junior Sous Chef looking for a step up
- Proven background in fine dining or high-end hospitality catering
- Experience in restaurants, events, or premium B&I
- Talent, passion and flair for pastry would be ideal
- Eye for detail and presentation with high standards
- Passion for food, ingredients and service
- Good attitude and approach
- Excellent communication skills and a team player
- Ability to work in a pressured environment, remaining calm and focused
