Key external relationships: Retail Supply Chain contacts, Retail Demand Planning contacts

Key responsibilities:

  • Off Trade forecast development - you will forecast demand for all JUBEL SKUs, across all Off Trade customers including Grocery and Convenience. You’ll analyse past performance, growth, seasonality swings, category trends, and be all over the detail to build accurate forecasts across the channel.
  • Internal forecast alignment - you’ll be able to clearly explain and justify planned forecasts, working cross functionally with the Off Trade and Retail Operations teams to align on customer demand. You will be able to quantify adjustments and impact in terms of both volume and NSV, and clearly communicate customer requirements.
  • Retailer forecast alignment - you will work closely with key retailer partners including Tesco and Sainsbury’s, to drive collaboration on shared forecasts. You’ll become the in-house expert on each of the retailer data & forecasting platforms, ensuring you can steer conversations and action by speaking the customer language. You’ll bring healthy and informed challenges where necessary to ensure we can drive best-in-category shelf availability.
  • Forecast analysis - you’ll report on forecasting accuracy, flagging risks or opportunities to the business as a result of delivery. You’ll be able to explain over or under deliveries, and will develop informed recommendations for improved forecast accuracy in the future.
  • Data visualisation & reporting - you’ll be responsible for translating and reporting weekly JUBEL sales data, developing visual tools which can be self-serve across the team. You’ll use these for your forecasting needs, and they’ll also support the Off Trade team to easily dig into performance and get to a granular understanding of their customers.
  • Data to action - you’ll be the first to dig into the numbers and communicate key trends each week and month, translating data to the ‘so what’? You’ll look at availability & sales data, digging into what sits behind that and any actions we need to take across the team. You’ll make learnings to support forecasting and total channel understanding, and ensure that cross-functionally we’re on the pulse with performance swings and key outputs.
  • Store visits - you will spend time in stores every week to understand the intricacies and nuances of demand planning and understand impact of issues at store level. You’ll implement your learnings and use them to support forecasting, availability and ultimately JUBEL sales delivery.
  • Stakeholder relationships - you’ll build great relationships with retail stakeholders across supply chain and demand planning, unlocking a new level of partnership and collaboration from depot to store. You’ll become a trusted voice on forecast recommendations to drive availability improvements and ultimately a bigger shared business with our customers.
