Our client is a successful facilities management business with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality services. They are now looking to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner to support their Corporate functions.
This is a genuinely broad and autonomous role, partnering with 15 senior managers and four members of the Senior Leadership Team across a business unit of approximately 260 employees. While your primary focus will be Corporate Functions, you’ll also provide occasional HR support to operational teams, giving you exposure to a wide variety of people challenges.
We’re looking for a seasoned HR Business Partner who is confident operating independently, enjoys building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and isn’t afraid to challenge constructively. This is a role for someone who is pragmatic, commercially minded and equally comfortable influencing strategic people decisions as they are rolling up their sleeves to deal with day-to-day operational HR.
The Role
As HR Business Partner, you’ll provide commercially focused HR support that enables leaders to build high-performing, engaged teams while delivering business objectives.
You’ll balance strategic business partnering with hands-on operational HR, providing practical advice and coaching across a broad range of people matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior managers and members of the Senior Leadership Team to deliver commercially focused people solutions
- Provide expert advice and guidance across the full employee lifecycle
- Lead on complex employee relations matters, ensuring balanced, commercially sound and legally compliant outcomes
- Coach and develop managers to build confidence and capability in leading their teams
- Support performance management processes, including performance-related pay and reward discussions
- Drive talent management, succession planning and workforce planning initiatives
- Use people data and insight to identify trends, mitigate risks and support informed business decisions
- Lead and support organisational change and HR projects where required
- Work collaboratively with the wider HR and Talent teams to deliver people initiatives across the business
- Ensure HR policies and practices remain legally compliant, commercially relevant and consistently applied
- Build strong relationships across Professional Services while providing occasional support to operational FM teams
About You
You’ll be an experienced HR Business Partner who enjoys working in a fast-paced commercial environment and takes pride in delivering practical, business-focused HR.
You’ll bring:
- Previous experience operating as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor with significant business partnering responsibilities
- Strong generalist HR knowledge with proven experience managing complex employee relations cases
- Experience supporting senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making
- A pragmatic, resilient and confident approach with excellent judgement
- Strong coaching and relationship-building skills
- Commercial awareness and the ability to balance business needs with employee outcomes
- The confidence to work independently while knowing when to collaborate
- A proactive, self-starting approach with a genuine desire to make a positive impact
