JTP is an award winning placemaking practice of architects and masterplanners. From our studios in London and Bristol we undertake placemaking projects at every scale, from cities and towns, to neighbourhoods, streets and the design of individual buildings.

Our London Studio is seeking a creative and ambitious Senior Urban Designer to lead on a number of exciting and high profile visioning and masterplanning projects for urban extensions, large scale new neighbourhoods and garden villages within the UK.

With a passion for collaboration and the creation of sustainable and biodiverse places, the ideal candidate will have significant experience of working on projects of this nature, and of taking them through stages of vision development and masterplanning to the preparation of design coding, regulatory plans and proving layouts.

The successful candidate will be a highly confident, proactive and talented urban designer with a proven record of managing project teams and building successful relationships with clients, consultants and local communities. The ideal candidate will have excellent written, verbal and graphic communication and be proficient in the use of Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, CAD and hand-drawing. A post graduate qualification in urban design is essential for this role and a background in architecture advantageous.
