As a Data Analytics & Insights Manager, you will play a key role in building and scaling a trusted, AI-ready data and insights capability for the Regulatory & Fiscal Strategy team. Working across indirect tax, illicit trade and regulatory data, you will help transform complex business questions into clear insights, actionable recommendations and decision-ready outputs that support strategy development and executive decision-making.

Partnering closely with Regulatory & Fiscal Strategy colleagues, JTI's IT teams and external providers, you will help design, implement and continuously improve a consolidated data and insights solution. This is a highly visible role that combines business acumen, data product ownership and project delivery, while leveraging Microsoft analytics and AI tools to improve the speed, consistency and quality of insights across the function.

Position

As a Data Analytics & Insights Manager, you will:

  • Data Product Ownership & Solution Delivery
    • Own the conceptual design and delivery roadmap for the data and insights solution in collaboration with internal IT and external service providers.
    • Translate stakeholder needs into data models, dashboards, reports and other insight products.
    • Lead migration from existing data sources to the new data model, ensuring continuity, traceability and quality throughout the transition.
    • Lead testing, user acceptance, documentation, training materials and roll-out activities for internal customers.
    • Manage continuous improvement of the solution, including future scope expansion.
  • Analytics, AI & Business Insights
    • Develop decision-ready analytics outputs that support regulatory and fiscal strategy, scenario analysis, prioritisation, impact measurement and leadership communication.
    • Use Microsoft-based analytics and AI tools, including Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint and Copilot, to improve insight generation.
    • Ensure AI-enabled outputs are practical, explainable, traceable and subject to appropriate human review.
    • Build strong understanding of R&FS priorities, JTI-specific business context and internal customer needs to ensure insight products are relevant and actionable.
    • Support the development of standardised market briefs, trend analyses, KPI views, impact assessments and other reusable insight products.
  • Data Governance, Quality & Collaboration
    • Assume responsibility for data coordination, collection and verification processes, in close collaboration with R&FS functional experts.
    • Establish and maintain data governance practices that support data quality, consistency, traceability, data privacy, security and appropriate access management.
    • Drive adoption among internal users through clear communication, practical training and responsive support.

Requirement

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent experience, in data science, computer science, business analytics, statistics, finance, economics or another relevant field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data product management, analytics project delivery or a closely related field.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, data governance, data quality management and insight generation.
  • Experience translating complex business requirements into data models, dashboards, reporting solutions, workflow tools or other analytics products.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft-based solutions, including SharePoint, Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and Copilot; experience with Azure or enterprise data platforms is an advantage.
  • Experience working with financial, indirect tax, regulatory, compliance or similarly complex multi-market data is preferred.
  • Experience managing external service providers, system integrators or cross-functional delivery teams is an advantage.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate contributors, manage priorities, drive decisions and deliver against deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and translate analysis into concise recommendations.

How we'll reward you

In return, we offer a competitive salary of £78,000 - 85,000 per annum dependent on experience and a car allowance of £7,800 per annum.
