ROLE OVERVIEW
PURPOSE OF JOB
JTC is accelerating its operational transformation under private equity ownership, with a clear mandate to re-engineer processes, reduce cost, and embed automation across its trust and fund administration business. This position is a senior leadership role at the heart of that agenda. The postholder will be responsible for identifying, mapping, and systematically eliminating inefficiency across JTC's operational estate, working with specialist technology and delivery teams to deploy automation technology, workflow tooling, and implementation expertise that delivers measurable EBITDA impact. This is a collaborative leadership role combining deep operational knowledge of fund and trust administration with the ability to shape and support multi-year transformation programmes. Critically, the role requires strong change management capability: the ability to bring operational and business leaders on the journey, embed new ways of working, and demonstrate clear ROI at each stage of transformation. The postholder will work closely with the Chief AI Officer, Technology Leadership Team, and business unit leadership across JTC's global footprint.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- PROCESS STRATEGY & MAPPING
- Own and maintain a comprehensive process inventory across JTC's service lines and operations, to include both divisions (PCS & ICS) and all Departments, identifying automation opportunities ranked by effort, cost, and value.
- Facilitate and coordinate structured process mapping exercises, engaging operational SMEs to surface inefficiency, duplication, and manual workarounds.
- Contribute to defining and maintaining the process automation roadmap, sequencing initiatives to deliver both near-term quick wins and longer-horizon structural improvements.
- Ensure alignment of process redesign activity with wider technology, data, and AI strategies across the Group.
- IMPACT TRACKING & VALUE MEASUREMENT
- Define and maintain the impact measurement framework for automation and tooling initiatives, establishing baseline metrics, KPIs, and reporting cadences.
- Produce regular executive level reporting on automation programme performance, including FTE savings, throughput improvement, error reduction, and EBITDA impact.
- Maintain a live benefits tracker tied to the Group's Value Creation Plan commitments, providing transparent visibility to the Technology Leadership Team and Board.
- Continuously refine the business cases for in-flight and pipeline initiatives based on actual delivery performance.
- CHANGE MANAGEMENT & STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
- Support the change management workstream for all process automation programmes, ensuring operational teams are engaged, trained, and supported throughout transformation.
- Build trusted relationships with both stakeholders in both Divisions and all Operational Departments to understand business needs and co-design solutions.
- Develop and maintain a stakeholder engagement plan, proactively managing resistance and ensuring consistent communication of programme benefits and progress.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement across JTC's operations, embedding process-first thinking in how the business evolves.
- PEOPLE & TEAM COLLABORATION
- Contribute to building a high performing Process Automation & Tooling team, supporting the recruitment and development of talent with the specialist skills required to execute the transformation agenda.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and development support to team members.
- Collaborate closely with the Chief AI Officer, Group CIO, and peer technology leaders to ensure integration of automation activity with the broader technology operating model.
- TOOLING & TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS
- Work collaboratively with internal technology teams and external technology partners to assess, evaluate, and recommend automation and workflow tooling that are fit for JTC's operational environment.
- Support end-to-end implementation programmes, from requirements definition and vendor selection through to deployment, testing, and hypercare, acting as a business-side champion and bridge between operational stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
- Help to build internal awareness and capability around tooling, supporting the development of repeatable delivery frameworks and governance standards in partnership with technology colleagues.
- Maintain oversight of the tooling landscape, working with technical teams to manage vendor relationships, licence optimisation, and continuous improvement opportunities.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Clear and relevant experience in process transformation, automation, and tooling with a demonstrable track record of delivery in complex, regulated environments. The skills and experience that will help you most in this role are:
- Proven track record supporting process automation and operational transformation programmes in trust, fund administration, financial services, or a comparable regulated sector.
- Deep expertise in process mapping methodologies (value stream mapping, swimlane analysis, BPMN) and the ability to translate complex operational processes into automation specifications.
- Experience working with and evaluating automation tooling, including RPA platforms, BPM tools, and workflow solutions.
- Strong programme and project management skills, with experience coordinating across vendor, delivery, and business stakeholder teams.
- Demonstrable experience contributing to impact measurement frameworks, including benefits tracking, KPI reporting, and executive dashboards tied to business cases.
- Strong change management skills, experienced in stakeholder engagement, communication planning, training design, and organisational change in transformation contexts.
- Experience operating in a private equity-backed environment or demonstrating clear ROI on transformation investment is highly desirable.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, CIMA, or equivalent) are advantageous but not essential.
