Overview
J&J Therapy is opening a new CQC-certified clinic in New Malden (right next to the train station). We fuse authentic Korean clinical massage with modern UK physiotherapy for a holistic, patient-focused service. We’re looking for a Lead Physiotherapist with strong MSK experience, ultrasound imaging skills, and a passion for both clinical excellence and service development.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Leadership
Lead the MSK service, mentor junior therapists, and maintain top-quality standards. - Patient Care
Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of MSK conditions, integrating UK physio methods with our deep-tissue Korean massage approach. - Integrated Practice Development
Collaborate with the Clinic Director to refine our East-meets-West care model, ensuring culturally sensitive and highly effective treatment. - Diagnostic Ultrasound
From Q4 2025, perform and interpret ultrasound scans to support diagnostic decisions and tailor treatment plans. - Advanced Modalities
If qualified, deliver injection therapy or support shockwave therapy. Coordinate with other specialists for interventions as needed. - Compliance & Quality
Maintain high standards in line with HCPC, CQC, and professional guidelines (documentation, safety, etc.). - Team Collaboration
Work closely with massage therapists and other professionals for seamless multidisciplinary care. - Community Engagement
Represent the clinic in the local community, fostering positive relationships and an inclusive environment for a diverse patient base.
Essential Requirements
- HCPC-Registered Physiotherapist (in good standing)
- CSP Membership
- BSc (Hons) or MSc in Physiotherapy
- Significant MSK Outpatient Experience (with excellent clinical reasoning)
- Proven Ultrasound Competency (training/certification/experience)
- Leadership Skills (e.g. senior physio experience, mentoring background)
- Cultural Awareness (ability to work with a diverse patient community)
- Strong Communication (clear English, teamwork focus)
Preferred (Desirable)
- Qualification in Injection Therapy
- Shockwave Therapy experience
- Independent Prescribing Rights
- Other additional skills (e.g. acupuncture, Pilates, ergonomic assessments)
- Ability to speak Korean (helpful but not required)
Salary & Benefits
- Base Salary ~£42,000 per annum (c. £3,500/month)
- Uncapped Commission:
10% commission on monthly revenue above £5,000
15% commission on monthly revenue above £8,000
20% commission on monthly revenue above £10,000
(Potential total earnings £50k+) - 28 Days’ Paid Leave (including bank holidays)
