As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with the commercial team to ensure sustainable and profitable project delivery. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform commercial functions as directed by the Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor (QS).
- Ensure adherence to internal governance and compliance procedures.
- Work within pre-defined budgets and practice cost-conscious decision-making.
- Support the work-winning and bid preparation team when required.
- Prepare accurate cost and value analysis in collaboration with your line manager.
- Assist in the preparation of project budgets.
- Perform on-site measurement of assets and resources.
- Work closely with site teams to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
- Update, maintain, and manage high quality commercial records.
- Keep cost data accurate and readily available.
- Support the development and implementation of strong, transparent change control processes.
- Assist in pricing and valuing project variations.
- Prepare interim and final subcontract accounts alongside interim project measurements.
- Prepare and reconcile sundry accounts for project-related costs.
