As a Planner, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining schedules for engineering, procurement, and construction projects. Working closely with various teams and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of activities and adherence to project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage construction programmes that are realistic, achievable, and contractually compliant.
- Produce, submit, and maintain NEC3/NEC4 programmes in line with contractual requirements.
- Monitor progress on site, identify delays, and collaborate with site teams to implement mitigation strategies.
- Review compensation events and variations, producing robust programme evidence to support contractual claims.
- Provide programme-related input into cost and resource planning for the commercial teams.
- Communicate clear, accurate progress updates and forecasts to stakeholders, internal teams, and clients.
- Develop tender programmes to support competitive preconstruction submissions.
- Build strong relationships with operational teams and key stakeholders.
- Mentor and support junior planners, fostering a collaborative and innovative planning team environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in a Planner role is preferred but not essential.
- A background in engineering, site management, or project management is desirable.
- Knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts and construction contracts is advantageous.
- Proficiency in ASTA Powerproject is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Exposure to a diverse range of civil engineering projects is beneficial.
