We are seeking a skilled and motivated Site Engineer to support the successful delivery of civil engineering projects across the region. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring work is carried out safely, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical & Site Management
- Set out, level, and survey the site using modern instruments (GPS, total station, etc.)
- Interpret technical drawings and ensure work aligns with project specifications.
- Assist in planning, sequencing, and coordinating daily site activities.
- Monitor site progress and quality, identifying and resolving technical issues promptly.
- Support the Site Manager and Site Agent with day-to-day operations.
- Quality Assurance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate site records and inspection reports.
- Ensure work complies with design, quality standards, and contract requirements.
- Health, Safety & Environment
- Promote and uphold a strong health and safety culture on site.
- Ensure all activities comply with H&S regulations, RAMS, and company policies.
- Report incidents, near-misses, and potential hazards.
- Stakeholder Communication
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and the wider project team.
- Communicate technical information clearly to site teams.
- Attend progress meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
Skills & Qualifications
- Essential:
- Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience working on civil engineering or construction projects.
- Strong understanding of site engineering techniques and surveying equipment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality.
- Desirable:
- CSCS card.
- Full UK driving licence.
