We're looking for an experienced General Foreman in the Highlands delivering critical energy infrastructure projects across the region.
The role
As General Foreman, you'll be the driving force on site. Working closely with the Site Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of works, making sure everything runs safely, on programme, and to the right quality standard.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Supervising and coordinating subcontractors, gangs, and direct labour on site
- Ensuring all works are carried out safely and in line with the project Health & Safety plan
- Monitoring progress against programme and flagging any issues early
- Conducting toolbox talks, inductions, and briefings for site personnel
- Checking works meet the required quality standards and specifications
- Liaising with the Site Manager and wider project team on daily priorities
- Managing plant, materials, and resources efficiently to avoid delays
- Maintaining accurate site records, including daily diaries and allocation sheets
- Supporting the identification and communication of any variations or additional works
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience as a General Foreman or Senior Ganger within civil engineering
- A background working on energy, utilities, or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements on civil engineering sites
