I’m working with a leading Tier 1 contractor on an exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join a major civils project in Dover. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work for a well-established contractor with a strong project pipeline, excellent standards and genuine opportunities to progress. You’ll take ownership of a package of works on site, leading teams and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.
The role:
- Manage site teams and the successful delivery of civil engineering works
- Oversee concrete and demolition packages
- Plan, programme and resource works effectively
- Drive a strong Health & Safety culture across your area of responsibility
- Coordinate subcontractors, direct delivery teams and site activities
- Monitor progress, quality and productivity
- Work closely with the wider project team to ensure successful delivery
- Identify and resolve issues proactively, keeping works on track
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience managing civil engineering projects
- Strong track record leading and delivering civil engineering site teams
- Relevant CSCS card
- SMSTS
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety compliance
- Temporary Works Supervisor/Coordinator
- Crane Appointed Person
- HSG47 / Underground Services experience
- Strong programming and planning experience
- Experience managing a direct delivery workforce
- First Aid
