What you'll be doing:
- Working closely with the team across a number of categories and taking the lead on smaller projects.
- Pulling together data and market analysis to support buying decisions.
- Drafting tender documents.
- Engaging with internal stakeholders to understand what the business needs.
- Analysing supplier bids and helping to build award recommendations.
- Supporting supplier negotiations and contract implementation.
- Acting as a go-to contact for suppliers and colleagues with procurement queries.
- Helping maintain our supplier lists and making sure everything stays compliant with policy.
- Keeping contracts and records well organised and up to date.
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience within procurement or buying experience (or working towards CIPS).
- A solid grasp of commercial and contract basics.
- Comfortable working with stakeholders at different levels.
- Organised, proactive, and able to juggle priorities.
- Good with data and confident using Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or e-procurement tools is a bonus.
- A team player who's also happy to take initiative.
