Currently seeking an experienced SHEQ Advisor to support a growing portfolio of infrastructure and construction projects across Wales & South West England. The business delivers high quality projects across sectors including infrastructure, utilities, roadworks and public realm.

The Role

Reporting to the SHEQ Manager, you will play a key role in promoting and maintaining the highest standards of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality across multiple live sites. This is a hands on position requiring regular site visits and close collaboration with operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive SHEQ support and guidance to site management teams
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits and compliance reviews
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and UK HSE legislation
  • Support incident investigations and implement corrective actions
  • Assist in the development and review of RAMS
  • Promote a positive safety culture across all levels of the business
  • Monitor environmental performance and quality standards in line with ISO accreditations
  • Deliver toolbox talks and internal training where required

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in a SHEQ Advisor role within civil engineering or construction
  • Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) essential
  • Experience working across multiple sites
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Full UK driving licence
