Our client, a full-service law firm with offices in Lewes and London, is looking for an experienced Trust Tax Manager to join their reputable legal practice in Lewes. The successful candidate must be able to draft trust and tax returns and undertake Inheritance Tax reporting. Duties will include: Managing the preparation of trust tax. Preparing inheritance tax accounts. Demonstrating a solid understanding of HMRC’s Trust Registration Service and applying it effectively. Handling the preparation and submission of personal tax returns for clients. Offering tax planning advice to both clients and trustees, helping to maximise tax efficiency and minimise liabilities. Collaborating with clients, trustees, and third-party professionals to collect and validate information necessary for tax filings. Staying up to date on the latest tax legislation changes. Providing clear, concise, and responsive legal advice to clients. Assisting colleagues with private client tax-related issues. Ensuring timely filing and proper record-keeping in line with regulatory requirements. Desired skills: At least 2 years’ experience as a Trust Tax Manager (or similar).
