We specialize in providing services to the entertainment industry, including Film, TV, Exhibitions, and Museums. Each project is unique, often requiring bespoke electronic controls and interfaces. From simple flashing LEDs to radio control systems for full-size equipment, we craft innovative solutions under tight deadlines. A flexible and hands-on approach is essential.
Salary Range:
37,000 – 44,000 per annum
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Hardware design for 3-phase control systems, including component specification and installation.
- Experience with high-power motors, actuators, or industrial automation.
- Expertise in installing power distribution systems/power management for large electrical setups.
- General soldering skills (PCB and wiring looms).
- Researching and specifying components for small-scale battery-powered applications and larger projects.
- Fault finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Maintaining workshop equipment.
- Adherence to safe electronics practices.
- Flexibility to adapt to last-minute changes in project briefs.
- Familiarity with high-level programming languages such as C, C++, or BASIC.
- Willingness to undertake occasional off-site work globally.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, PIC) for control circuits, especially power and motor control.
- Understanding of DMX or other show control systems.
